How to know I'm ready

First off, thanks to the hosts of this site; it's been a great resource already.
My company's going to pay for the SCJP test that I pass. Being on a constrained budget, I want to make sure it's the first one I take.
I've gone through the first 13 chapters of the RHE study guide, and averaged 80% for all chapters (my score tends to drop at the later chapters

, so I've been working on Threads, etc). I score between 80-90% on the Rules Roundup. I've got Marcus Green's mock 1 and 2. A few days ago I found a link of the "19 hardest questions" (or something like that) and scored 50% on that.
I write Java code by day, and have for the past year; however, the stuff I do at work is rather basic, I think.
Anyway, my goal is to pass this on the first shot. I bought my voucher today, and would like to schedule it within the next two weeks.
Can those of you who've gone before offer me any insight or advice? It would be much appreciated.

If your goal is passing, you are ready.
If your goal is acing, then you need little more preparation. If you get 90%+ in marcus's exam, then you are all set to go. Dont get discouraged by those 19 questions. I've been there, know what it is like. Take that easy.

i am also want to know how is enough for pass the exam!i am a chinese senior student! i have read rhe for only 1 time! i prepair read it 3 times and make some notes for it! i also bought java2 exam cram! it`s really a good book! but i find
there are more topics in rhe than exam cram!
which one should i foucs on!?

I don't just want to sqeak by, I want to do well; if the exam were a high fastball, I'd be interested in crushing it over the wall (although I'd be happy with the bloop over the shortstop's head [I'm so glad baseball season is here]). On Marcus' Mock 1, I scored 62%; I want to shore up the weaknesses that test exposed, then take Mock 2. (I don't want to re-take the mocks; I don't want to simply memorize the answers to the mock questions.) Like I said, on my budget I'd be hard pressed to take it more than once per month, I want to make sure I pass the first time. I hope that's not too unrealistic.

I like the attitude. If you want to ace the exam, you could try Mughal, because they questions here are IMO tougher than the real thing. Also, try for a 90% batting average on the Marcus Green exams. My friends and I noticed that the score we got on the Marcus Green was very close to the score we eventually got on the SCJP exam (give or take 1%)

Here is an exellent mock exam, if you can take this an consistently get over 80% you should do very well on the real test.
