I guess JAR files is what you need, but with out installing a full kit, I dont think it will be worth trying to set up 1.4 part by part. If you look out for any CDs that comes with PC Magazines ( DataQuest, PCWorld etc - assuming that you are from India/SouthAsia), it should have the latest version buddled. try using a download manager tool like getright (www.getright.com) which help you d/l it over several days..

Just out of interest why is java ranch so strict about this naming policy? Surely it does no harm to allow users to have a single word for their 'identity' here? bob
