I have a book, that says, that File Input and Output is not explicitly mentioned in the SCJP 1.2
is this true, becouse somewhere on this pages there was somthing about that i schould look out for Threads and I/O in the certification, can someone tell me wath is correct ???

You will need to know threads and the IO classes. Memorize the constructors for the more commonly used IO classes. Go to the Sun site for a list of all the objectives on the test.
Get the REH book. And buy a copy of JQ+. Take the Marcus Green tests for a benchmark of how you will do on the real thing.
