I know there is a section for software etc, but this program may be helpful to some that would need a program to step through code, which will help you enormously to learn concepts, especially in depth flow control issues. It is a very large download, however the Eclipse software parallels the VisualAge environment...and is FREE!
It might take a tiny bit of getting used to if you've only ever used a text editor, but its well worth learning!

I know its none of my business, but maybe you should have posted this in "Blatant Advertising"...

As I said in the opening, I know there is a section for software, or others that this would be suitable in... however, this is very helpful to people who are trying to get certified.
So I put it here!

Francisco --
I know it's not my business too but I would like to say that there is no need to be rude here. Brett did not post this for his personal gain. Eclipse is an open source IDE created by IBM. I have used it and would recommend it to anybody.
Brett --
You mentioned that it parallels VisualAge. The truth is this is the exact same thing as IBM Websphere Application Developers Studio (WSAD - IBM's replacement of the VisualAge). Commercially the same product is sold for $3000 in a easy to use install package! You can download the same product free of charge from Eclipse.org.
I use WSAD in my office (they have WSAD license) and I use Eclipse in home. There is no difference between the two.

Brett, Im sorry, it was never my intention to be rude or disrespectful, I never thought your message was blatant, its the name of the forum, and I thought that there was the most proper room to discuss it. Maybe it would be a good idea to create a forum like "oss tools" or "free tools" or something like that. Once again, Im deeply sorry.
Sincerely,
Francisco Areas Guimaraes
