I know that the opposite of Instance members is Static members but I'd like to know if a local variable is also an instance member...

No it isn't. It cannot be accessed from outside of the method in which was declared.

I don't think you can use the
word
'opposite' to
describe the relation between static members and
instance members.That is not appropriate.
