Hi, I already have Khalid Mughal's book and I have read it. I got my exam scheduled on Jan 2. I have read a lot about about Kathy's book. Is it a must read? Does it have something extra for the new test(i.e. 1.4)? Do I really need to buy and go through that book too? Awaiting your comments. Sanjay
my preliminary review -- I've read up to chapter 3 so far, and love it. I used Khalid's book to study for the 1.4 test. And you can definitely pass the test using Khalid's book combined with some extra info on Assertions and some online mock exams (that's exactly what I did). However.... I think I would have scored higher if I'd read through Kathy's book before my test. It explains things very well -- and I've already caught myself saying "Oh-- that's how it works -- dang I would have gotten that question right had I known that" .... that's it for now -- you'll have to wait for my official review to be posted in the bunkhouse soon.

Could you please tell me something more about Assertions and some mock exams, I mean where will I find them. I don't think I have enough time left for Kathy's book to read as I'm taking this exam on 2nd January. Any comments!! Thanks. Sanjay

Oh, that's not until next month. I'm still in training. And I don't know if I can "take him" in a wrestling match, but let me tell you, I bet I can kick Mughal's ass (oops -- we're probably not supposed to say "ass" on the forum) at "most technically accurate and descriptive use of the word 'margarita'". Do they even *use* that word in their book? Hah! I think not. So there you are. *margarita being a lovely (alcoholic, of course) beverage associated with palm trees, the beach, and Jimmy Buffet songs ("... wasting away in *margaritaville*.., looking for my lost shaker of salt...") What does this all mean to *you*, the prospective reader? That our book is more festive. I believe their book is best studied in a quiet, serious room, maybe a libarary. Ours is suitable-- appropriate even-- for taking to the local pub. Cheers, Kathy Author, "Core Mud Wrestling" and the companion, "Thinking in Mud Wrestling". Coming soon: "Enterprise Mud Wrestling"
