Hi
I am reading assertions for 1.4 certification. I am bit confused about those 2 switches(ea and da) especially when they apprear in same coomand line, like enabling for a package and disabling for subpackage or specific class.
If someone can explain it or give me some links i will appreciate it.

Thank you<br />Srini

Check out Cindy's newsletter article about Assertions.
It gives examples of using the -ea and -da, -esa and -dsa parameters. (EnableAssertions, DisableAssertions, EnableSystemAssertions, DisableSystemAssertions).

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
