Hi there !
I have come across a number of instances where refrence is made to the Java Language Specification. For scjp 1.4 do we have to go thru each and every aspect of this spec ? If not which are the areas we should concentrate give that time is limited.
Thanks

Don,
I do have a copy of the spec. At a informal level with regard to prepration is it worth while to spend time browsing the specs or following the books is sufficient.
Thanks

Bobby,
You are right. The best way is probablly to folow a book. There seems a lot of good books for scjp.
With a book, you won't be way off. And you can still check the exam objective on Sun web site from time to time.

The JLS is the aboslute ruling instance. Whenever you get in doubt, please consult it and if something is not clear, just ask.
Below are some links concerning the JLS:

Unofficial Java Language Specification Errata
