Ok, ok, we're late again! (be thankful that you're not our publisher ) But, better late than never ! The first pass at the errata page for: Sun Certified Programmer blah, blah, blah by 'Kathy and Bates' is now available. We have received more corrections than are posted at this point, but this version contains fixes to all of the 'critical' issues that we are aware of to date. We will get an updated version out shortly. (You could start a pool as to when that will be ) The fixes we did not include in this pass are almost all of the cosmetic variety (inconsistent fonts, bad white space...) they ARE important - we promise we'll get to them! We want this to be the cleanest book possible so we welcome all of your feedback! The easiest way for us to track feedback is if you email us rather than making a post. firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com As a general rule you should send all congratulations and accolades to me, and all the really gnarly 'inner class while notifying a thread about a protected interface, static volatile booleans' type questions to Kathy. Errata lists are important for a book like this that one relies on to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the Truth. And I was happy to find it...but (you knew that was coming)... would be great to separate the errata into sections with the most important being at the top: "We didn't tell the whole truth." Then, test-takers don't need to bother with the "Notes to Editor" section. Cuz...goin thru all that errata (seems like an awful lot goin on too) is TEEdious. I do highly recommed the Kathy/Bert book, errata and the erratic errata list and all. -rick
