Hello Kathy/Bert
How does the master exam on the CD of your book compare with the real exam ?
I mean is it tough/easy/same level?
Thanks in advance

Sri -
First of all we'd like to get other people's feedback on this question.
I will say that we worked very hard to match our questions to the questions on the real exam. Our feeling is that over 95 % of our questions are as hard or harder than Sun's counterparts. That means of course that we acknowledge that some small percentage (less than 5 %) of Sun's questions will be tougher than our counterparts.
I would speculate (remember I said 'speculate' ), the followiing:
Given that you time yourself at two minutes / question:
If on our tests you score approximately 82 %
Then on Dan's mocks you'll get about 70 %
and on Sun's real exam you'll get about 80 %

So on any given question I think they are the same degree of difficulty, but Sun has a small percentage of trickier questions.
Again, we'd love to hear other's feedback! (that second edition will be coming ).

Just wondering, would you also be willing to split infinitives?

Sri,
I was one of the beta testers for the exam questions in Bert and Kathy's book. I took the real exam about a month later. I thought that Bert and Kathy's questions were very, very similar to the questions on the real exam. The format of the questions were the same and the tricks contained in the questions were just about the same. The score that you get on Bert and Kathy's exam will be just about the same as the score that you get on the real exam.
If you have Bert and Kathy's book, then I would suggest working through the book and then put it down for a while and take some other mock exams on the web. Once you think you are ready and once you have forgotten the answers to the questions in the book, then go back and do Bert and Kathy's exam again. If you took the real exam on the following day, then your score on the BK mock and the real exam would probably be the same.
Don't worry if your score is low on my exam. I developed my exam as a learning experience for myself and for anyone that uses it. My exam is not intended for use as a tool to predict performance on the real exam. It is intended to enhance performance on the real exam.
I wish you success in your exam preparation.

Thanks Bert
The exam looks good except for the fact that GUI is not exactly good. It was very difficult to navigate. I hope it will not be the same on the real exam.

Dan,
Thanks for the input.
By the way, your exams and material are really good. Whenever I feel a bit over confident about any topic, I go back to one of your topic exams . That helps me from going overboard
Long live Dan
