Errors creep into books no matter how many people check them before they go out the door. Some publishers keep errata sites up to date while others ignore the whole thing.
LanWrights, the company I work for, decided a number of years ago to keep track of errata for all books that we are involved with.
The LanWrights errata page has an entry point for this system.
I just put up the first errata for the latest Java Exam Cram on this system - mostly typos but a couple of important corrections. Anybody finding additional errors or wanting to argue about some question should write me at
As a side note - this system uses a Java applet for data entry and Perl to create the reports but I have an all Java replacement in the works.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
