Just to let you know, I have already sent in a request to end my membership with JavaRanch, so I don't know why I'm still receiving notices. From here on in, they will be ignored.
I've found some truly helpful people, but there's just way too many absolutely rude people here, and I want no part of it.

Well, one reason is because the e-mail you sent the request to gets a huge amount of spam, and it's easy to miss important stuff as a result.
Another reason is because the e-mail you sent did was from a different e-mail address, and a different name, and did not provide me with any info about which account you were talking about.
As far as I can see, you account should not be receiving any more mails from us. If you continue to receive them, please let me know (see the link in my profile )and please include exactly which e-mail address the offending mail is being sent to.
