can anyone giv clear explanation stating when v can use throw and when v can use throws

You use the keyword "throws" in the definition of a method -- to declare which Exceptions (usually checked exceptions) can possibly be thrown during the execution of the method.
The "throw" keyword is used to actually throw the exception (or a subclass of the exception) that you declared in the throws clause.

Also if you throw any RuntimeException or its subclass, it does not need to mention in throws clause.
