strictfp, Thread's deprecated methods part of 1.4?

I'm studying for Java Programmer Certification 1.4, & would like to know about the following.
a) strictfp. apart from that its a keyword, can there be questions regarding its proper usage, its validity along with other modifiers, etc?
b) Am i supposed to learn the working of methods resume, stop, suspend in Thread class, even though they're deprecated?!

You just have to known that strictfp is a keyword and CAN NOT be combined with ABSTRACT.

You should also know where you can use strictfp.
It can be used with classes and methods but not variables.
You don't need to know about threads depracated methods.

Basically you should just know they are deprecated. However it does not hurt reading through the API once, to see what they were intendeed to do. And to see for e.g. how can you actually stop a thread if you would want to.
Regarding strictfp, I would suggest just do some of Dan's tests and you know more than enough for the exam.
