Hi everybody, I'm new to JavaRanch and thus not sure if this is the right forum to post my question (if not I apologize). I've been programming Java for about two years (nothing to complex). Now I'm interested in getting certified. Is a month enough to prepare for the exam ? Which books should I read ? Thx!
I think that's a good amount of time if you spen at least 3 hours a day. And for a book: Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027) Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates and use the link here to give javaranch a kickback http://www.javaranch.com/bunkhouse/Certification.jsp
I think its doable as long as you have the time to dedicate to it (like Paul mentioned). Definitely check out the book by Kathy and Bert - its EXCELLENT. Make sure you take lots of mock exams (particularly the ones in Kathy and Bert's book -- Kathy is a co-developer of the actual exam, so the mock questions in their book are VERY CLOSE to the real thing. Good luck!
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
