Hi,
I am planning to take SCJP exam.
Any idea how much SCJP will cost me in Chennai(India), what all topic I have to prepare and how much time it'll take for prepration for working person like me.
Any other useful tips and suggestion are also welcome

nope, sorry.
what all topic I have to prepare and how much time it'll take for prepration for working person like me.

have a look at this site.
Time? I'd say it depends on you're experience with java. If you know nothing about the language, it'll take you a bit longer. It also depends on how much time you want to devote for studies. It's all up to you, but I recommend to take it slow, understand the concepts and do many mock exams.

According to my knowledge, you'll have to pay approx 6,915 indian rupees (150$)

The exam voucher costs Rs 7500 but Sun has discounted by 20% and the new voucher costs Rs 6000 but is valid only till september end.

Hi Mohanraj
As previously mentioned the cost of the exam is 7500 and Sun is offering a discount of 20%. Though you need to buy the voucher before September 2003 but the voucher itself is valid till almost an year. So if buy the voucher in Sept'03 then its valid till July'04.

actually here cost is 7500/-
but now sun they gave special offer that is for 6000/-
so u can write for 6000/-
