Hello all, I have a quick question. I recently, or not that recently, passed the Java Programmer's exam. I was just wondering how I can get the logo sent to me so that I can put it on my resume (I am actually putting it on a presentation slide). I received it originally, but have since misplaced it. Does anybody know? Thanks for the info.

I have no clue how you could get it other than contacting Sun.

what do you mean? didn't get that one..
you have to sign few papers, send them back to Sun, and they'll give you access to it.

I got my certificate package yesterday.
The materials inside says
"...If you are interested in using the Java Technology logo, please visit the following URL:"
http://logos.sun.com/logosite.jsp?Category=third&Logo=cert-jtech&Page=click
Hope the above will help you.

Sun did not send you the logo, they sent you a URL with the logo on it for you to download.... that is assuming that you actually passed!

Thomas,
For me, Sun send a certificate (yes I passed with 85% ), a pin, and a letter instructing how I can download the logo if needed (it is the URL I mentioned in posting above).

that's weird, didn't you get a form that you had to fill out, sign, and return to sun in order to use the logo? I got my certificate last week

Yes, I did all that form signing stuff, and got the logo. It was either emailed to me or the URL was emailed to me, I don't remember, whatever the case, at one point I had the logo in hand. I no longer have the logo in hand. It is not on my computer. There is a million and one reasons for that. Anywho, having done this 6 months ago I can't remember what I need to do to re-get it.
I think the URL will help.
Then again maybe I'm just trying to put the logo on my resume unlawfully

I did not download the logo from the URL I got. But I think the way it works is...one have to fill out a form online (giving their student id, e-mail id etc). After Sun verifies the credentials, you will receive an e-mail with necessary information (probably a pincode or so) so that you can download the logo.

Giving you the URL will not help. You need an ID and password to get in. Just go to the website referenced above and fill out the paperwork. They will be happy to help you.
