Looking for suggestions on Certification

Hey everyone! Glad to be a member. This place looks awesome.
I want to become certified. I am just learning Java... getting familliar with it. I am NOT new to programming by any means, I have been programming for 5 years. I have been using PHP for 2 years, which is making OO programming VERY fun for me (lol).
My question is: How long would you give yourself before taking the test? This is a huge goal for me, and I want to get at least 80% on it. Where should I focus my studies, and is a 30 day goal realistic for a newbie to Java?
Tips and advice is welcome with warm arms.

Hi Brad,
Welcome to JavaRanch! I'm going to move this thread to the Programmer Certification forum where you will be best able to find an answer to this particular question.

Is the score important? Does passing w/ 60% and 100% make a difference?

I believe a 30 days window is realistic when you have 5 years of programming experience. Be prepared to sleep a little bit less and to practice a lot.
Good Luck! And once you get certified, let us know the results.
