Hi, I'm planning to write the SCJP exam. But I got a question in mind,as I'm more familiar with Java 1.2 exam pattern and not much familiar with Java 1.4 API specification, will it be wise for me to go for the exam for Java 1.2 (ie;310-025).Is the 1.2 certification still considered valuable? Hope some one can help me. Thanks Chandrasekhar S.

here are some past threads on the same topic: which one 1.2 0r 1.4 SCJP 1.4 SCJP 1.4? (in a nutshell - I'd recommend taking the 1.4 exam. It's more current and the topics are quite similar -- basically you need to learn assertions, but you don't need IO or AWT)
