Hello fellow ranchers I have a few questions about the SCJP 1.4 Exam format: 1. What is the maximum number of possible options (generally) for a question in the real exam? 2. If a question has multiple correct answers, does the exam tell you the number of correct options eg. choose "3 correct answers" ? I'm asking this because I've seen this in some of the mock exams. I read this on the exam FAQs on this site too but is it an official statement from Sun? 3. I heard that the SCJP certificate doesn't list your exam score. So, do you receive another document which lists your score? It would be helpful if somebody could answer my questions. I'm planning to take the exam next month. Thanks. Harwinder

A1. I would say 3 of 4 is the most that are "normally" right, but that is probably a useless question & answer because they could all be right A2. No, you have to work it out for yourself A3. Don't know, I got my exam score (but I failed). That was last year, now I'm wiser, and taking the exam next month too. Good luck! I remember there being heaps of threading questions and IO.

Let me correct some of Chris' answers: 1. What is the maximum number of possible options (generally) for a question in the real exam? Not sure... its been awhile since I took the exam, I think on average it gives you 4 or 5 possible answers 2. If a question has multiple correct answers, does the exam tell you the number of correct options eg. choose "3 correct answers" ? I'm asking this because I've seen this in some of the mock exams. I read this on the exam FAQs on this site too but is it an official statement from Sun? On the real exam it will tell you "choose 3 answers" -- and in fact -- if you try to choose more or less it will give you a warning saying you need to choose 3. 3. I heard that the SCJP certificate doesn't list your exam score. So, do you receive another document which lists your score? Correct, the actual certificate doesn't list your score it just says you passed. When you leave the exam center, they'll give you a notarized version of your score sheet that you can show to people if you want.
