There has always been a significant delay between the release of a new JDK and any matching programmers exam. It has tended to be in excess of six months. Also the differences between any two exams has tended to be very small, with the possible exception of the last release which involved dropping I/O and the AWT.
From my understanding the first Tiger implementation will be relased one of these (days/weeks). I believe 1.5 will be released summer next year. I would expect to see around that time the first Beta exams and then a few months later the official Exam. So we are talking about end of next year. IMHO http://www.javacertificate.com - SCJP 1.4
