Is it possible to verify who is Java 1.2 and 1.4 qualified via Sun?
if not everyone could claim at interview that they had passed.
I am sure I have read there is a list somewhere.

Everyone who is certified recieves a certificate saying which test they took and when. An employer could request to see the certificate.
Other than that, there is no master list that I've heard of. Nor do I think that Sun offers a service for employers to verify certification. But I may be mistaken.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
