Does anyone have any news on when the SCJP exam aimed at the 1.5 version will be out?

I would be very surprised if such an exam was available this year.

I believe, but cannot find the thread, that Kathy Sierra has announced once that the beta exam will be available the earliest at the end of this year.
On the other hand the beta version has just been released (february) and the closing date was March.
IBM, BEA and HP did approve the current ongoing version but would like to see CORBA 2.6 support for JSR 176 - J2SE 1.5 Tiger.
I assume some kind of battle is still going on ...

It's still a ways out... We will get lots of notice when the dates start getting firm and we'll let you know - right here in this very forum

This is what I know about the 1.5 exam. I posted it in my blog some time ago.

SCJP Tipline, etc.
