I am talking about http://www.jchq.net/phezam/ exam. According to java ranch this test is supposed to be hard as the real thing. However I find it as hard Mughal & Rasmussen's Mock Exam Engine. I know I have some more studying to do but I was getting low 80s in the other test I scored 73 in this test. I am confused as to my skill level and just wanted to see what you guys experiances are?

I scored 75 on marcus and 73 on real thing.
I am still confused it didnt look like questions on reall test.
I would say if score is not important go for it.

Alan, I'd be very interested in your feedback on the difference in style between my questions and those on the real test. Was it a difference between the question format or the way they are presented. My phezam based questions are designed to closely reflect the style, topics and difficulty of the real questions.

Hi,

Since the daily question has been put
on a php page it doesn't work as well
as it used to.

For example, I've been seeing the same
question for a couple of days now.

I've passed the SCJP allready and to
me the questions are similar in format
and difficulty to the real thing. As I'm
doing a question a day just for morning
gymnastics I see that, in a couple
of weeks time, one can't tell from the
daily questions that for example threads
are a more important topic than keywords.
Actually I haven't seen a lot of thread
questions in phezam.

Cheers,

Gian Franco

I have recently (within the last 4 or 5 days) changed a large amount of the code behind that page so it may have a few quirks. (Hmm at this moment it is truly broken) I look into them.
Thanks for the feedback.

I found Marcus Green's exams (I think I took them all at least once) to be very similar in difficulty level to the real exam. The questions I got wrong pointed me to areas where I needed to study more.

And, I passed!!! THANK YOU, MARCUS GREEN!!!

My score on the real exam was slightly lower than my score on the practice exams. I also took Bill Brogden's exams and had a similar experience with them. If you are scoring over 70% on the practice exams, I think you will pass the real exam. Nobody cares what your score is. Really, it is the learning experience and the fact that you had the initiative to take the exam that counts.

Good Luck! :-)
