Hi

I was not following this forum very closely. Just came to know of this one.
So if this question has been answered earlier please point me to the thread.
or may be this question is too silly to appear in this forum ...

Actually, I have just started thinking of taking the SCJP, provided my employer reimburses the examination fee. So this question came along.

I am wandering when will SCJP 1.5 will be available. and will it be worth waiting for that, instead of taking 1.4 now. What do you people think on this.

And what about upgrading from 1.4 to 1.5.

SCJP Tiger should be in production at around Spring 2005. It really depends on whether you are currently working on 1.4 or Tiger, because there are lots of new issues in Tiger.

The SCJP 1.5 or Tiger exam was scheduled for the beginning of 2005 ... I haven't heard much lately and I would rather think at this point in time it will be closer to the summer of 2005.

But I could be wrong.

If you were practising already for the SCJP 1.4 exam, I would suggest to go for it and not to hang on. In case you still need to start then your time is probably better spend on studying the nice new features of Tiger.

The beta exam was scheduled for the beginning of 2005, and the offical released exam would be around Spring or Summer 2005 I guess.
