Hi Everybody.
I have a question.

In the following questions of Marcus Green's Mock Exam-2,
there are methods which are not mentioned specifically to be as part of the Colllection Interface or as part of the Collection(in specific here Vector) classes in the K&B book.

Which of the following methods are members of the Vector class and allow you to input a new element

1) addElement----( This is the Answer, not mentioned in K&B)
2) insert
3) append
4) addItem

Which of the following are methods of the Collection interface?
1) iterator
2) isEmpty----( This is the Answer, not mentioned in K&B)
3) toArray----( This is the Answer, not mentioned in K&B)
4) setText

So, My question is does the exam really has such questions about the stuff(that has to be memorized) which is not specifically mentioned in the K&B book.

Thankx,
Ravi.

I havent given the exam yet, but from the FAQ present in the Sun.com site
it says

A few of the previous objectives have been strengthened (you can expect more/more detailed questions of them). They include: hashcode and equals, Collections, Wrapper classes.

Look here: here

So, i guess u need to go thru the details
Well, it would be better if someone who has undergone the SCJP exam replies to this question.

Hi Ravi,
I gave the exam last week. I felt K&B book was enough and I got 100% in collections. I studied collections only from the K&B book.

Thankx guys for the replies,

Animesh you r rite, The Sun site does mention the points you have said.
But I think, the equals method and the hashcode concepts are well covered in the K&B book. but I was worried about whether I need to dig in for the other memebers of the collections classes not mentioned in K&B. Anyways lets C. I'll try to remember whatever I can.

Gayatri, I've read the K&B book to the best I can. your words should give enough confidence ( to those who depend mostly on K&B book) to go for the final without worrying about the other details.

Just study the table thoroughly in the Collection chapter of K&B book. I am sure you can get 100% in Collection section of the exam and then you can buy me a lunch.
