Hi, I did my beta exam on the 11'th of februari and it stated 6-8 weeks until the results will be posted. I wonder if it will be further delayed as the beta period have been extended?? Just curious.... Thanks // Torben Norling - Bluefish AB

Because they need all of the results in to work out the passing score, I guess we will have to wait until 6-8 weeks after the final date.

Getting someone to think and try something out is much more useful than just telling them the answer.

It is for sure that the result will be released 8-10 weeks after the end of the beta period, based on the experiences from SCWCD, SCMAD and SCDJWS betas. Nick

Thanks, seems logical that the results will be delayed. Regarding studying for the exam: I used a SCJP 1.4 studyguide (The Kathy Sierra book, great book, fun reading) and the Tiger notebook (Oreilly) + all possible Tiger related articles on java.sun.com / java.net. The test outline does a pretty good job describing what to focus on, check all details here. Note that some 1.4 features that wasn't part of the SCJP 1.4 test now are, it's all in the test-outline! I also recommend some coding with the new features if you don't use it in your day job. I coded a tiny app. that made use of primary the generics stuff and added other new things just to have tried them out. My reflections on the test: The generic questions wasn't that complicated, no annotation questions at all, the new drag-drop fill-in-the-blanks was kind of fun but had a negative side effect that you always reset you already done answers when "re-checking-them", or maybe I didn't understand how to handle them correct. // Torben

That's true. So, I worked on them at last, without double check them again. Nick
