I have the following problem: There are only two prometric center in my city. Only one can schedule online the exam but the timetable is full. The another, i just can schedule the exam if i have a number of the voucher. The problem is that i just can get the number of the voucher when i schedule online my exam (and I cant) and pay the fee. Im thinking in schedule the exam in other city, then i could get this number and re-schedule it in my city. My point is: When you paid the fee, did you receive a number of the voucher? Regards,

SUN's exams are different from others (e.g. Oracle/IBM) that you need to purchase the vouchers first (e.g. from your local SUN representatives).
You cannot pay for your vouchers online via credit card.
I logged onto a Sun website and paid the SCJP exam fee online with a credit card. The Sun website sent me an email with my voucher number.
Next, I created an ID on the Prometric website and supplied the voucher number to register online for the exam.
Of course, it may work differently in Brazil.

Hi Vinicius,
I ordered my voucher in Germany online from Sun Germany, and paid like Mike with a credit card. After two minutes of waiting and not receiving my voucher by email I called Sun Germany and they gave me the voucher number through the phone.

You should first check whether your country can purchase vouchers online.
Exam purcahsed on this Web site may only be used in the U.S. If you reside outside the U.S., please select a country to inquire about products delivered in your country.

Sun Brasil doesnt support online payment. I had to pay directly in prometrics site. I called there and they told me that they cant get my voucher number. Im trying to contact prometric agaim and agaim. Regards,

You should NOT keep contacting Prometric because she cant help to get a voucher for you.
You should contact your local SUN office (or representatives) to get the vouchers for you. Basically, if the office is near you, you can go and pay there directly, as well as get the vouchers. If not, you need to first pay for them, and SUN will send you the vouchers via mail (or email) after she confirmed your payment.
In The Netherlands, you can't pay for your voucher online either. I needed to order the voucher on the local-sun-website and received an invoice ( both email and hard-copy ) which I had to pay in advance using a wire-transfer.
After the money-transfer was completed my local Sun-representative send me a voucher ( hard-copy ). The number on that paper I had to use to register for the exam using the prometric website.
Bottom-line: You should go to your local Sun-representative!

to Vinicius Boson You didn't write what exam are you talking about (1.4 or 1.5 beta).
If you want 1.4 then you need voucher and must contact Sun before you will be able to register for exam.
But if you want 1.5 beta then it may be possible to register without voucher. See http://www.sun.com/training/certification/java/beta.xml for details. In this case you just need to explain to your prometric center that it is not a usual Sun exam, but BETA exam.

I was talking about the beta exam. I finally get it. I had to register and schedule it at Thomson Prometric site (http://www.2test.com) and pay the fee and schedule it for anohter prometric site. Then, with my confirmation number in hands, I email (emailed??) Prometric requesting for change the place of my exam. Thx for all help. Regards,
