Sun Certification preparation

Hi,

I am new to Java , wants to get certified (SCJP). Please guide me the steps to get certified like how many months of preparation is required. what are the books do i need to refer.

Since you said you are new to java. My advice is to work in java for 6 months learn about java & then prepare for certification.
