Hi I come across this question. My answer is Swing. Is rthis correct ? Thanks

_________ provides a set of lightweight components that can be used in place of the heavyweight AWT components.
Swing
PLAF
MVC
Jframe

While running a Swing applet, the following error message is displayed: Swing: checked access to system event queue. This message is caused by:
coding an additional thread in the JApplet.
adding painting code directly to the JApplet object.
removing components from the JApplets content pane.
checking whether the applet has access to the system queue.
--------

I don't have any clue on this questions. Can somebody answer this ?

A programmer is using Java to create a GUI in an application. Which statement is included in the code to allow absolute positioning rather than the layout manager implementation?
public GUI1()
setLayout(null);
GUI1 extends Frame
GUI1 gui = new GUI1();
-------

I guess it is "setLayout(null);" is this correct ?

Thanks
Munna

Hi Munna,

These questions sound like they belong in the SCJP forum instead of here. Also, if you are studying for the SCJP, you might want to make sure you are using study materials for the current version of the test. The SCJP version 1.4 (CX-310-035) does not deal with Swing or AWT anymore. That was from the older versions of the test.

and the 1.2 exam doesn't deal with Swing either so either this is from a poorly constructed practice exam or it's from something unrelated to SCJP
