By what time should I take SCJP1.4 as SCJP1.5 is on its way??

i mean by what time at max i should plan to take the test so that the value i get from SCJP1.4 is not reduced....
well according to my prep. i've planned it for somewhere in June ...
wht do all of you have to say about that???

Hi
Well presently there aint anybooks towards the tiger exams and you would have to be a bit of a top shot to tackle the SCJP 1.5 exams! The SCJP 1.4 exams is still a very strong exam on its own, you actually have to know your stuff well to pass it just like the Tiger exams. My suggestion is take the 1.4 exams and learn the new features of 1.5! Then try going in for another Java exam and you can take an Upgrade exam afterwards after you have mastered the 1.5 features! Just a thought anyways. Whatever you do, keep reading!

If you are already on the way of the study, just go ahead with it. Only a few companies / systems will use Tiger as it is still new, so SCJP 1.4 still has its own market value.
