actually i m reading K&B and understand what thread are and how they work ..

but i m facing huge problem while understanding syncronization ...specially when we syncronize block of code using some object..
i understand till the level that we are using objects lock to syncronize the block of code and nothing rest...
by rest i mean..
what does the effect of it to whole program..
what its advantage
i can't able to make thread program with this amount of knowledge..

i have good programming logic..but one can't make program till one understand the tool ( i.e thread) ...so guys pls help how to really get command over thread so i have atleast knowledge to make any damm difficult thread program

my aim is not only to pass scjp wiht 100% in threads but
my aim is to make one server maybe mailserver or webserver...( even of cheap quality then later good quality .. ) but i will only achive if i have good command of threads

So pls help to get good stuff and help me to achive my goal.
pls give me tips to get strong thread programming..
specailly unnderstand the fundass.. rest i will handle..

i think we all aim big in threads...to become good programmer...

The "Concurrency" chapter in Bruce Eckel's Thinking in Java might help you. It's not "simple," but it might provide the perspective you're looking for.
