I'm currently prepare to take SCJP. Can some guys advice me what to take after SCJP? I know there are SCJD, SCWCD, SCBCD, etc, I also saw that 'Java Technology Certification Learning Path' diagram in SUN website. But I dont know how many percent of people would take which one after SCJP and what kind of job perspective are relative to which certifications. Maybe to make a foolish question, which certification path would lead to greater income in its relative job postions?

I graduated from univ last year with computer science Bachelor degree and I'm currently working as a Java programmer in an IT company.

Thank you for your advice or sugguestion.

Were it me (and in a few weeks it might be), I'd continue on to the SCJD step, then start thinking about specialization. Build the best foundation you can before trying to build anything on top of it.

Just my two cents' up the change for a root beer or something...

I agree with Alan: SCJD, then specialize. Which speciality depends on your interests and career goals. After SCJD for me? Embedded/J2ME...

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for one day. Teach a man to fish, he'll drink all your beer.
Cheers, Jeff (SCJP 1.4, SCJD in progress, if you can call that progress...)
