Hi All, I purchased the K&B book to study for the SC programmer exam. I have Java programming background but I'm wondering if the book covers all the material needed to for the exam? Did Sun objectives change since the book was published.
Thanks much

I have the same doubt...Please any one clarify if K&B covers all the objectives of the SCJP exam...In some mock tests i found some questions based on static , non static block, operator precedence ( based on JLS) (visit http://www.go4java.20m.com/mock1.htm as well as mock2.htm)....Whether these are in Objectives of SCJP....Thanks in Advance...Please clarify....

It covers all the objectives and is a very good book. However unless it is entirely beyond your pocket I recommend getting at least one other book so you can see the topics covered from a different angle (and you will get some additional mock questions to sharpen your skills on).
Hussain you can try this URL it names books you might need, Books

Yes K&B is good, but only for 1.4. Is the SCJP 5.0 version of the book out yet? I havn't seen it. There are very important additions in the exam objectives of SCJP for J2SE 5.0, and to cover that K&B will need to be modified...I don't what their plans are...
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
