Various objectives (e.g. 1.1 and 1.6) refer to "nested classes". I believe there's a slight technical difference between nested classes and inner classes, but in common parlance they're just about the same thing, and you need to know about them for the exam.

According to Sun's definitions, nested classes are a superset of inner classes. Nested classes include static member classes and inner classes. Inner classes include nonstatic member classes, local classes, and anonymous classes. So "nested classes" includes all these.

What is the difference between a nested class, an inner class, a local class, an anonymous class and a member class (or interface)?

Yes, inner classes are in the SCJP 5.0 exam.
