hi! I hav decided to take my scjp1.4 exam and iam very interested in java.
The problem is i know very little programming and dont have any real time experience. But still i hav the confidence that i can learn it quickly and i hav also bought the khalid mughal book. But i was bit discouraged when i learned that writing the exam needs some real time experience.

Obviously i dont want to fail and i want to know the actual methodology of study for a begginer like me.And would it b wise of me to take the exam without any actual training in this field?

Thanks
Afia

Real experiences might not be necessary, but it did help because you know what is the real world's situation.

In addition, you might read K&B's book because the authors of the book are also the authors of the exams.

Why not learn Java and come back to the certification when you have enough Java (or programming) experience? Get yourself a few good Java programming books (not certification books), spend some time on our Java in General (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) forums. You will then find SCJP much easier and it will be be of much more benefit to you.

Various posts offering and asking for braindump and pdfs of copyrighted material deleted.

(Please go to another site, not JavaRanch, if you want to do this sort of thing)

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
