Hello,

I read about this training on Book Promotions page. It is an online training, isn't it? How does it look like?
Has anybody some experience with it? Does it substitute a training book completely? ( For e.g. if you can't wait for the new K&B book )

Thanks in advance,
Peter

(Put Whizlabs on topic line)

Yes, I do. Do you have experience with that?
(I hope I put my question to the right topic.)

yes I would like to know what the success rate has been with this product. If I can make a case for my company to foot the bill for it I may go with this instead of waiting for K&B (since I'd like to pass SCJP by the end of the year).

As moderator, I just wanted to make sure that we are on the same wavelength.

I suggest you inquire at Whizlabs saying that you saw it referenced here at JavaRanch.

Oh yes, maybe those lucky winners of our recent Whizlabs promotion could give us some feedback on the product.

hello Peter,

Thank you for your interest in our online training programme !
Our training is conducted using a virtual classroom (webconferencing) tool. It is a live training, where you can interact with the instructor and get your concepts cleared instantly. The study notes (which lists the exam points with appropriate examples) are displayed on the whiteboard and discussed one by one. There are exercises to be completed at the end of every session.

Our online training is ideal for people who do not have time to attend actual classroom trainings or go through many books and other online resources for preparation.

However, this training is not for a beginner in Java. This is because it does not train you in Java basics, it is solely focused on the SCJP 5.0 exam objectives. You need to have at least a few months experience in Java before you can benefit from this training programmme.

The success rate of our training participants is very high, but the exact numbers are not available with me at present. But someone will get back to you on that within the next 24 hours. Right now, it is midnight here in India.

You can find more information on our trainings here.

Hope this helps. Any other queries are most welcome.
