Hi all
I have scjp 1.4, till now I don't have any time to start reading J2SE 5 and our company don't move on it.
I want to know is it necessary to learn it(Of course it is)but I mean is it necessary to take scjp5 upgrade exam, when I have scjp 1.4 or it doesn't change very much and I can just learn that without exam?

SCJP 5.0 is not a thing to be rushed into, it is quite different to the earlier certifications (search this forum). If you are not requested to get it by your employer then take your time and learn thoughly the new features of Java 5.0. Wait for the new SCJP 5.0 certification books to come out. You can do all further Java (SCJD, SCBCD, ... ) certifications with the existing Java 1.4 (or 1.2) certification.
