What do we mean when we say the state of an object?Can somebody explain with an example.

Hi,
If I am not wrong, the current values of all the member variables of a class together are referred as the state of the object.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Remember:
1. Member variables of an object represents the state of an object. while
2. Methods of an object represents the behaviour.
