Hi there!
I am having trouble with an applet that I am running in jcreator.
I have 4 files (one of which is the applet). The rest of the files are custom made exception classes for my applet. I was able
to succesfully compile all 4 by clicking on Compile Project or by
compiling each file individually by clicking on Compile File.
When I tried to execute the applet I got a variety of responses:
1) when I clicked on Execute project, I got a whitescreen (appletviewer) w/ the text "Welcome to Java!!" 2) when I clicked
on Execute file for my applet, I got an error message in DOS
stating "Exception in thread main : NoSuchMethodError " 3) When I
clicked on Execute file for my html file , I would get a DOS
screen w/c would quickly disappear before I could read the error
message. I have tried several times to run this applet without
success. All files are under the same directory.
Pls evaluate if my process for creating an applet is correct 1) Select New File --> Select Basic Java Applet --> Then I name my project 2) Select New File --> Select Java File --> Then I name my applet 3) create applet 4) Compile Project or Compile File
individually 5) Execute project or execute file (applet or html).
I was able to run applets previously with the above process.
Thanks
