Hi everyone
I am new to javaranch...however i have been reading many posts and i would like to thank all of u for the good posts that come up...

I am currently preparing for SCJP 1.4 exam. I would like to know whether only Khalid Mughal's book is enough for the preparation or do i need to refer to other books like Kathy Sierra, etc

Hi, Personally I think Khalid is much better than the KB book. But it's more strict and formal and goes to a higher level of detail than is necessary.
I think most people are happy enough with the KB book but in my personal opinion, Khalid is a superset of KB and hence Khalid by itself is good enough.
Good luck!
Sashi

I had referred both books. First khalid Mughal and then K&B. First put much effort understanding khalid's stuff & then go through quick exam notes from K&B. that way getting good score will be obvious.
