1. public class Test {
2. public int aMethod() {
3. static int i = 0;
4. i++;
5. return i;
6. }
7. public static void main (String args[]) {
8. Test test = new Test();
9. test.aMethod();
10. int j = test.aMethod();
11. System.out.println(j);
12. }
13. }
What is the result?

The result will be a compile time error because of the line 3 "static int i = 0;". You cannot use static for a local variable. The error message will be "illegal start of expression".

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
