Hi all, I want to know how tough the actual SCJP1.4 exam is when comparted to the free mock exam in Khalid Mughal. I found this exam to be pretty tough and managed hust 28 correct out of the 61 questions.

dont worry shankar , the real exam will not be so tough. even i got 33 correct answeres.and i got 86% in real exam. be koool..
I think the point with mock exams is to make you realize of your weakenesses. The exams in some mock exams might be more difficult than in the real exam.
I did the 10 Whizlabs mock exams while studying for the SCJP 1.4 and I did pretty bad, sometimes hardly passing, in a few of them, in other I did pretty well. It helped me a lot to find my weak points.
When I did the real exam, it was very similar, but most of the questions were not so tough. I was so used to the tough mock exams question that i finish the exam like in 30 minutes and I got a 93%.
So they really help, because you prepare for the worst, and then you end up discovering that actually not all the questions are difficult. In the real exam, they let you breath from time to time.
However, do not take me wrong. It requires a lot of effort and practice to prepare for the typical real exam questions. Here it is when mock exams help so much, simulationg the interface, making you rush for the time and pushing you to the limits.

Yes, Edwin Dalorzo. You are rite "I think the point with mock exams is to make you realize of your weakenesses".... That is what I want to know to score the exam.

Hi All,
I scored 63% in the free Marcus Green mock exam (38 correct out of 60 questions) Should I still sharpen my skills in order to appaer for scjp 1.4???

From past experiences, it seems that the score achieved on Marcus' exams closely resembles the actual one. Hope that helps you to make decision.
