exception handling

when we deploy an application , do we remove the
exception handling code. like assertion exception
handling also used for testing and debugging only?

As such the use of assertations is to check wheter a certain condition exists during execution of the program . The main pupose as u would think would be in testing the application out. I think keeping assertations in the application after the testing is done would be a additional overhead on the system .

Assertions are usually disabled upon deployment, but your exception handling code is needed always.
