I am confused about which which Certification will be a better choice to give? Is it SCJP 1.4 or SCJP 1.5.
Please guide me through this delimma

Is well to to take sjcp 1.5 itelf since it was a latest version for the java5 Tiger so if u choose this let u to be strong in java5

I think you should take the state-of-art SCJP 5.0, J2SE 1.4 is quite old.

I'm planning to take SCJP 5 since it's the newest, why show your certified in something that is expired/expiring/replaced? Especially in technology where everything moves forward at such a fast pace...might as well try to keep as close to the curve as possible. Unless you already know you can go in and ace the 1.4 exam. Then you might as well take it, and then do the 5 exam.

If you are planning on doing a specialty certification immediately after SCJP, then doing 1.4 would be the quickest way to reach your goal. The 5.0 certification would definitely last longer, but your SCJP certification won't matter as much once you get a specialty certification. [ February 01, 2006: Message edited by: B Chen ]
