I am a programming junkie who is hoping to have his craving satisfied by landing a Java job. Alas, most of the ranchers (employers) I've been talking to aren't accepting resumes from greenhorns. So if anyone can lend some advice (or a tip on a job) I'd really appreciate it. You can check on my portfolio and resume at http://server2.denver.iti.edu/pralph Thanks Paul Ralph

Paul, How about you send me the actual resume that you send out, post on internet sites, etc... I'll take a look at it, and if you aren't a fit for KPMG, I'll give you some pointers. Thanks, Jennifer Freeman KPMG Consulting, LLC jlfreeman@kpmg.com

Thank you to all who replied to my post. A double thank you to Jennifer Freeman whose post led to my getting a job at KPMG. I start on Oct. 30th and hopefully it will involve lots of Java. For the rest of you job searchers -- don't give up! (And feel free to contact these people. )

Paul, I hope that everything is going well for you at KPMG. I've taken a new position, and am now recruiting for Sun's .COM Consulting practice. Keep in touch, and let me know how everything's going. I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
