Hi,
This is my first post in this forum.....I am a Java Developer with 1year 10 months experience.
Actually I am thinking of taking SCJP1.4 in last week of March(test not yet booked)...so I took JavaRanch - Rule Roundup Game (without any preparation at all) to check my skills till date and I scored 71% .
So I need help.....
1. What chance do I have to clear SCJP1.4 with above 90% atleast of score ?
2. How much preparation do I need before SCJP1.4 in last week of March ?
3. is K&B enough for SCJP1.4 ? is it must to read (as I have not purchased it) ?? How about Complete Java 2 Certification: Study Guide,Fifth Edition By Philip Heller & Simon Roberts (I have aleady purchased it) ??

Plz help me.....

Hi Vikaas,
U must read the K&B book .It is very good book for preparation covered in depth . It's not the matter how many years you are having Java exp.You have to complete the syllabus in 15days and ready to start attend Mock tests in last 15days.

Getting score is depends on how many mock tests u have attempted, not the exp.
Plan yourself from today onwards ,I am also taking SCJP on march 31st.

All the best,

Raj.
