What certification exam should I take?

Hi guys,

I have a voucher for $150, and I am wondering what exam to take from these:

Sun Certified Java Programmer 5.0
Sun Certified Mobile Application Developer
Sun Certified Web Component Developer
Sun Certified Developer for the Java Web Services

I am currently Sun Certified Programmer for 1.4 and work primarily with pure Java, but I'm wondering what could be of best benefit to me in future. What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

If you're working with pure java only, it may be worth taking the SCWCD exam as this will introduce you to the world of servlets, JSPs, HTTP and web-containers. From there, it would be an easy step to things like the Spring Framework and EJB containers.

"Avenger Bell,"

Welcome to JavaRanch!

Please revise your display name to meet the JavaRanch Naming Policy. To maintain the friendly atmosphere here at the ranch, we like folks to use real (or at least real-looking) names, with a first and a last name.

You can edit your name here.

Thank you for your prompt attention, and enjoy the ranch!

Uh, "George007,"

Please take a closer look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy. Especially the part about real (or at least real-looking) names, with a first and a last name.

Thanks,
Marc

I think if you already have SCJP 1.4 then Sun Certified Web Component Developer is good for you. I am planning to take it this June
