Hi fareen;
Y dont u go for SCJP 1.5 (or 5.0) caus tht will be in demand in corporate world aftr smtime. u can go for "Head First Java" from Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.after gettin the basics u can go for Certification guide by the same.
