Which exam to give?

I have been preparing for SCJP 1.4 exam. And my voucher gets expired on 31st May. Should I study more for the SCJP 1.5 contents and give that exam?

I have not completed the studies for 1.4 yet and probably I can give exam on 10 or 15th May.

Please suggest should I do the upgrade before 31st May instead of SCJP 1.4 or give another exam?

I suggest you write what you leanred for. Some of the 1.5 topics need time to be learned in the right way. Since you will be ready for 1.4 only by 15th i dont think two weeks are enough to upgrade to 1.5. However if you can learn really fast you could give it a shot. Why dont you browse through the newer topics in 1.5 and have a feel for what it is like.

By the way, a student always takes an exam, a teacher gives the exam.. sadly most people get this fundamental grammar wrong
